I just started this website today. I have several websites. In fact, in time you’ll start seeing some of my posts from another website show up here as I begin moving them over. I started a website called nomagicbuttons.com in February 2019. When I started that website I had the same idea about blogging and affiliate marketing as I did with this website. Only that website quickly became kind of a variety website about life and other things. I really wasn’t happy with the direction that it was going.
I have learned a lot in the past two years since I discovered Wealthy Affiliate (which you will see posts about) that to get traffic to the websites you need to be using keywords and/or keyword phrases. Last year I started reading posts about faith-blogging and I started training sometime in the spring or summer with Kingdom Bloggers Academy.
Kingdom Bloggers focuses on SEO and helps bloggers who want to have a faith-based website or blog about their faith. It has been very rewarding. I started learning a lot more about SEO and realized that my website nomagicbuttons.com was becoming more of a lifestyle blog rather than the blogging and affiliate marketing blog that I wanted it to be.
So this website, mybloggingventure.com, is going to be more about my blogging ideas, blogging experiences, building websites, and helping others who are interested in getting started. I needed a place that I could write generally about what I’m doing on my websites too, about blogging, and other things that just didn’t fit in with my other websites.
My other websites (which you will read about from time to time) are bookbastions.com where I share educational articles about reading and my love for books; journalingbliss.com where I share my love for journaling and how to get started; operationdisney.com where I share ideas, tips, and other things about travel to Disney. I also have other websites that I started but haven’t fully developed yet. I am still trying to decide what I want to do with them or if I want to do anything. I work full-time, so blogging has become a hobby for me and I am sporadic posting to my websites right now but hope to get better in time.
So, look out world…my blogging venture begins! Again!!!
